This Level 2 Functional Skills English online course is suitable for learners aged 16 and above, and there are no formal entry requirements to enrol. More Details About the Level 2 Functional Skills English Course
The course is broken down into three core components, in line with the national Functional Skills English standards:
- Reading — understanding a range of texts, identifying key information, ideas and viewpoints
- Writing — producing clear, accurate and well-structured written work for different purposes
- Speaking, Listening and Communicating — expressing ideas clearly and engaging effectively in discussion
The NCFE level 2 Functional Skills qualification in English is offered via a self-paced online learning model. Most learners complete the Level 2 Functional Skills Qualification in English within 6–12 weeks, depending on their study pace and prior skill level. Course access is provided for 12 months from the date of enrolment.The final assessment would depend on the external exam date booked by the learner.
Exams can be taken as remote online invigilated exams from home, giving learners the flexibility to choose and book their own exam date that suits their availability to complete the Functional Skills English Level 2 course.
The course is delivered through our VLE via self-paced, structured modules, allowing learners to progress independently and move through each stage at their own pace.
On successful completion, learners can progress onto Level 3 qualifications, apprenticeships, further or higher education, or use their Level 2 English qualification to support their existing or future employment.
